Learn to play the harmonica!

Almost everyone has had a harmonica (harp) at one time or another, but few learn to play it properly.

In my classes you will quickly learn:

• hand vibrato techniques
• folk style vs. blues
• how and why the notes are arranged in the order that they are on the harp
• basic rhythm accompaniment
• melody notes and how to get them
• basic blues songs
• history of the blues
• bending the notes for a bluesy sound
• 12 bar blues and how to accompany it
• tricks to make your notes sound better
• microphones and amps
• jamming with others

There will be exercises handed out so that you leave with lots of work to study. You will also take home a jam tracks cd to practice with.

Classes are private, one hour a week.
