Keith Bennett and Rick Bockner have performed together on a number of recordings and tours throughout Canada and Europe. Think For Yourself is a collection of blues tunes from the raw emotion of the Mississippi Delta to the sophisticated ballads of Duke Ellington plus some original songs. They recorded this CD in preparation for their last tour of The Netherlands and Sweden. Rick Bockner grew up in St. Louis, Missouri (USA). He is a guitarist, songwriter and performer who has spent over 50 years exploring folk, blues and early jazz styles of music. He began playing guitar when he was seven. Some of his teachers have included Pete Seeger, Mel Bay, Stefan Grossman and Woody Mann. Rick was a member of the seminal San Francisco band, Mad River (Capitol Records). He is known for his lush fingerstyle arrangements and penetrating, intelligent lyrics.
